Hyundai Motor France bets on local

Building and selling cars has been a way of conceiving the automobile. Building an environment where the car is integrated into everyone’s life is a step forward. A paradigm shift that some manufacturers have wished to implement like Hyundai Motor. (Recently recognized as the 4th largest manufacturer in Europe). Its French subsidiary, Hyundai Motor France, has decided to apply this philosophy. Anxious to offer products with the least impact in CO2. With this in mind, Hyundai Motor France wanted to highlight the local actors of its group. The idea is to be as close as possible to the consumers.

Hyundai Motor France’s committed attitude

The automobile brand wanted to give a voice to those who represent it in the region. The goal: to highlight local initiatives that illustrate the environmental commitment. Another visibility that has come to life on the web through the shooting of a “cross media” web series. This series will run through 2021, and is intended to be a long-term project. “Of course we build cars, but that’s not all we do. It is about contributing to the preservation of the environment where we evolve”, explains Clementine Antunes, head of brand strategy and communication at Hyundai Motor France.

A committed attitude that is already reflected in the wide offer range of electrified vehicles. The brand has mobilized its 200 dealerships. Their actions will be promoted in the form of video clips broadcast on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Sustainable development actions in their territories.

2025 on the horizon for electric vehicles

Hyundai Motor France, in collaboration with the video maker Julien Fabro, shows the “local initiatives” taken by the brand’s distributors for their ecological commitment. Web series for a committed road-trip. “The actions are diverse. Like our distributor in Savoie, which equips the La Plagne car fleet with 100% electric vehicles. The one of Orange which makes available a part of its outdoor showroom for the holding of organic market or our dealership in Lyon which, for each customer who buys a 100% electric vehicle, is offered a tree, planted in a sustainably managed forest via EcoTree France, and which allows the recovery of 100 tons of carbon”, underlines the head of brand strategy and communication of Hyundai Motor France.

In 2020, Hyundai was recognized as one of the generalist brands with the lowest average CO2 in the French market. Hyundai plans to become one of the three largest suppliers of electric vehicles in the world by 2025. (Editor’s note: 2020 study / carlabelling.fr).
